Tverskoy Excavator Creates Jobs for People with Disabilities

04 August 2014
Tverskoy Excavator (part of RM-Terex business) and Tver municipal job center are implementing a joint project under the government Employment Development Program aiming to create jobs and adapt workplaces for people with disabilities.
As part of this program, the plant set up a number of workplaces across the entire production cycle by bringing in special equipment to ensure labor safety and minor or limited physical, dynamic, static, sensory, and emotional loads on employees preventing deterioration of their health or any job injuries. As of today, Tverskoy Excavator offers 5 such workplaces – controller, loader, design engineer, and automatic/semi-automatic welding machine operators. The program is partially financed by Tver Region government.
General Director of Tverskoy Excavator Vladimir Chekalin: “Our joint efforts aim to enhance engagement and social integration of people with disabilities. We bought expensive equipment and adapted workplace environment offering disabled people the opportunity to feel part of our production team.”
