RM-Terex’s machines will help revamp the St. Petersburg water supply system
— Moscow, May 28, 2018 — RM-Terex, together with its Cominvest-AKMT dealer, supplied 23 road-building machines to the Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, State Unitary Enterprise. All the machines are equipped with attachments for a variety of challenging tasks.
St. Petersburg Vodokanal’s fleet was joined by twenty three machines: Three heavy TX crawler excavators and twenty TLB 825 backhoe loaders.
The supplied machines are intended for maintenance and revamping of the water supply system of St. Petersburg. They are equipped with the attachments specified by the customer who took into account their target application and the operating conditions.
For example, one TX 300 crawler excavator made its debut with long work equipment — the overall length of the dipper and boom is 18 meters. The digging depth will reach more than 14 meters, thus exceeding almost twice the capabilities of the standard machine. The excavator is intended for digging deep trenches and pits for laying new pipes. Thanks to its long reach, it can be used for land reclamation works such as dredging of canals and aqueducts.
The two other TX 300 excavators were equipped with hydraulic circuits and hydraulic drive quick replacement devices for fast changeover between the buckets and vibratory pile drivers for working with piles during pit excavation and shoreline stabilization.
The TLB 825 backhoe loaders had autonomous cabin heaters added to bring more comfort to the operator working at low temperatures of the northern capital. The machines were also equipped with quick replacement devices for easy bucket to hydraulic hammer switchover. The compact size and high travel speed make TLB 825 backhoe loaders perfect for general construction and remedial operations in cities and towns.
